Philippe Méan graduated as Civil Engineer from the Swiss National Institute of Technology (EPFL) in 1974. After working in a major consulting firm in hydropower projects developments, he settled a few years in USA where he got a Philosophy Doctorate in Engineering as well as a Master degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis in 1982.
Since then, he has been active in the Swiss electricity sector. He is currently Director of Research & Development by Alpiq, the new leading energy company in Switzerland.
