Charles has been actively involved in the development of low carbon energy systems since developing E.ON UK’s Distributed Energy strategy in 2006. He built an Innovation Team within E.ON to identify, develop and commercialise technology propositions. This has focused on areas such as marine, Electric Vehicles, LED lighting, micro-generation and demand side management.

E.ON has recently established a group wide team to steer the electric vehicles agenda within the Group. Charles joined this Düsseldorf based team to manage the R&D opportunities that the transformation of transport to an electric future brings.
